A new DWI law passed September 1, 2019 now puts drivers arrested on or after 9-1-19 at risk of significantly higher fines. In addition to the existent statutory fines of $2,000, $4,000 and $10,000 there are more. Depending on the level of offense the additional fines can be between $3,000 and $6,000.
